Bradenton is a city in Manatee County, Florida, United States. The U.S. Census Bureau estimated the city's 2007 population at 53,471. Bradenton is the largest Principal City of the Bradenton-Sarasota-Venice, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area, which had a 2007 estimated population of 682,833. It is the county seat of Manatee County. Bradenton is pronounced BRAY-den-ton.
Originally discovered by Hernando De Soto at Shaw's Point in 1539, the city took the name of Dr. Joseph Braden, whose nearby fortlike house was a refuge for early settlers during Indian attacks. The current city of Bradenton was formed in 1943, when the Florida legislature merged the cities of Manatee (incorporated in 1888) and Bradentown (incorporated in 1903).

JOB DETAILS:
Occupational therapists help patients of all ages who have limited abilities establish, develop and/or maintain the ability to complete daily functions and tasks. Through regular therapy sessions, occupational therapists work one-on-one with patients, focusing on their individual needs to help them achieve improved quality of life and a sense of independence. Occupational therapy concentrates on ameliorating the physical, mental, social and emotional sources of patients’ disabilities.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Have successfully completed and graduated from an accredited occupational therapy professional program
Completed all fieldwork requirements.
Licenses or Certification:
Current state license
Documentation of Occupational Therapy training (CEU’s)
BLS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Lifts, positions, pushes and transfers patients and or supplies and equipment. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. Keyboard activity and equipment maneuvering, view screen and assess patients while scanning.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Therapist
reports to the Recruiting Manager and or Account Executive. This position will also have accountability to the Department Manager or Supervisor.
