Bradenton is a city in Manatee County, Florida, United States. The U.S. Census Bureau estimated the city's 2007 population at 53,471. Bradenton is the largest Principal City of the Bradenton-Sarasota-Venice, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area, which had a 2007 estimated population of 682,833. It is the county seat of Manatee County. Bradenton is pronounced BRAY-den-ton. Originally discovered by Hernando De Soto at Shaw's Point in 1539, the city took the name of Dr. Joseph Braden, whose nearby fortlike house was a refuge for early settlers during Indian attacks. The current city of Bradenton was formed in 1943, when the Florida legislature merged the cities of Manatee (incorporated in 1888) and Bradentown (incorporated in 1903).
According to 2006 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 72,826.

JOB DETAILS:
Physical Therapists (PT’s) help patients, including accident victims and individuals with disabling conditions such as low-back pain, arthritis, heart disease, fractures, head injuries and cerebral palsy, by providing services that restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities. They restore, maintain and promote overall fitness and health.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy
Graduate of a physical therapist educational program
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Lifts, positions, pushes and transfers patients and or supplies and equipment. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. Key board activity and equipment maneuvering, view screen and assess patients while working.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Therapist reports to the Recruiting Manager and or Account Executive. This position will also have accountability to the Department Manager or Supervisor.
