#ASHA18 will be here before you know it and what better way to prepare for it than to highlight some of the amazing spots to visit in Boston? We would like to share with you some of the places we have pointed out to our contest winner Rosella Madrigal so that you can too, check them out.
Rosella will be heading to #ASHA18 this year courtesy for Mediscan Staffing Services and our sister company, DirectEd Educational Services as the contest winner during the #ASHA17 Sweepstakes that took place in Los Angeles.
HOLY MACKEREL...DON’T MISS THE AQUARIUM!
Nearly 50 years ago, the New England Aquarium opened its doors to the public as a global leader in ocean exploration and marine conservation. It is the only Boston-based cultural institution with a mission focused primarily on the environment, promoting the importance of protecting the blue planet through innovative exhibits and educational programs. Aquarium educators lead a nationwide initiative on climate change and inspire future ocean protectors with hands-on programs such as Harbor Discoveries Camps and live blue™ Ambassadors.
The Aquarium’s Marine Animal Rescue Team leads regional efforts to rehabilitate and release endangered species of sea turtles at our state-of-the-art Animal Care Center.
The Aquarium, with its world-class exhibits, is one of the premier visitor attractions in Boston and a major public education resource for the region. The Aquarium is home to the world’s longest-running right whale research program, coordinating efforts along the East Coast of the U.S. to restore the population of this endangered species.
Here are some tips to help make the most of your visit: Buy your ticket online so you can skip the line. If you’re looking to have plenty of face time with Myrtle, the green sea turtle and other animals, plan to arrive at 9am when it opens or later in the afternoon after 3pm. Be sure to check out the IMAX theatre. Bring your camera for some amazing shots… you can perch on top of the four-story, 200,000 gallon Giant Ocean Tank to feed the animals, even touch a seal or go behind the scenes of your favorite exhibits!
